Pricing & Fees
Two products, two ledgers. Checkout charges a bridge fee on invoice value. Sponsorship charges a service fee on resource cost. Merchant funding is a prepaid liability, not platform revenue. Amounts are µUSD (6-decimal integer strings).
Checkout (USDT invoices)
Fees come out of the customer payment. Net is swept to your treasury. The checkout page is not marked up.
| Line | How it is computed | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| Bridge fee | max($0.08, invoice × 0.25%) | Deducted from received USDT; platform revenue |
| Sweep resource cost | Live Tron Energy / BSC / TON quote | Deducted from received USDT; pass-through |
| Merchant net | Received − resource cost − bridge fee | Sent to your treasury address |

$40 TRC20 order (order of magnitude when the receiver already holds USDT) customer pays 40.00 USDT live Energy ~0.40 bridge fee 0.10 (0.25% of 40.00) treasury 39.50
Small tickets are dominated by Energy. That cost is itemized instead of buried in a 0.5% headline rate. A $20 invoice hits the $0.08 bridge floor; a $400 invoice pays $1.00.
Sponsorship (gas / Energy)
Debited from the merchant prepaid balance. No cut of invoice GMV.
| Line | How it is computed | Who receives it |

| Resource cost | Live Energy / BNB / TON quote | Pass-through, not platform revenue |
| Flat service fee | $0.02 / request | Platform |
| Resource markup | 10% of resource cost | Platform |
| Platform fee | 15 bps of resource cost, $0.05 floor | Platform |

Numbers that should not be mixed
- Checkout 0.25% is not sponsorship 15 bps. The first multiplies invoice value; the second multiplies resource cost and floors at $0.05.
- The public rate card still lists bridge / stable_swap / major_swap / minor_swap. Those are internal sponsorship classes; sponsorship defaults to minor_swap.
- App fee is an optional merchant-set cut, not Pontoon's bridge fee.
